Creative Residence - Cine Fest Luso Mundo 2017 Brussels

FEMMES ET MUSES - VIDEO-RESIDENCY

Brazil, Portugal, Cape Verde, Sao Tome and Principe, Russia, Poland,
Italy, Belgium, Holland and France.

The video Femmes et Muses - Women and Muses - was conceived in the city of Brussels with a plural view of both creators, directors and
artists involved in the I Cine Fest Luso Mundo and those who joined naturally throughout the process of the creative residency.
What would be a meeting of the lusophony has transpired in a space of dialogue,
aesthetic and philosophical reflection that extrapolated the Portuguese language in synergy, synesthesia and pure sensitivity.
The difficulty of understanding one's own language and the other was overcome with the artistic language.

The challenge has always been to integrate a living process audiovisual and performance as support and recording the activity.

The poetry of this meeting occurred in the chosen narrative and metalanguage where the body was also the circumscription.
Languages, views, cultures and modes in a frenzied state were the basis of understanding of this meeting. People who came and went, different forms each one fulfilling their roles, whether technical, theoretical, aesthetic or critical in form of reflection.
There were 15 intense days, in which we chose to understand collaboration in a horizontalized concept, script, filming, acting, scenery, edition, tracks,
texts - all done collectively. 
The philosophical and aesthetically approach has the woman as theme and context.

A looking under and over the city, of the symbolic elements like the pink garbage bags "with mixed organic and synthetic" that stand out in the gray of the multicultural city. Brussels as a backdrop and performance landscape. The voice of all foreigners printed in a testimonial narrative and
metaphorical in their own languages.
We are all - in gender and identity, women and also men. The expression of the spirit in its birth, births in the streets - each fulfilling its uniqueness on bare exposed bodies and  - all stamped with life and existence.
A great living to the collective explorer - from the gestures, to walk together, to the reveal to the world and the subtlety of viewing.
